Matale Vijaya College takes pioneer place among
Buddhist school in Matale District. It was held according to a
concept of Honorable Henry Steel Olcott. This is situated in a
beautiful place of Matale town where surrounding mountains. It
has two divisions such as primary and upper sections. It has
fascinating Environment and the very calm place. There are 04
main sections, Science, Commerce, Art and aesthetic. Vijaya
College has a valuable Library consist of a big amount Books.
Vijaya College has nearly 3000 children and 100 of teachers. Mr.
A.K.D.Siriwardhana is the principal of Vijaya College.
There are number of important places situated
around the school near the main road leadings from matale to
Kandy. basic hospital, the hockey turf and the main Police
station are some of them.V.T.Nanayakkara park the megistrate
banglow, and public cemetery are sitruated at the west side of
the school. Matale regianal Educational office and hotel school
are also stiuated near the main gate of the school.
